Song-A-Day: February 2

Superbowl Sunday is here! Whether or not you’re pulling for Peyton to lead the Broncos to victory (and hopefully ride off into the sunset) or the Seahawks to show the world once again that the best teams are balanced, you can find an equal appreciation for the solace of knowing that what you chose to watch tonight will be what people talk about tomorrow. Unless you’re a Puppy Bowl person of course, in which case I’m pulling for whichever team shows more grit. To celebrate the day where football fans are suddenly the (usually unwanted) gurus of the room, our Song-A-Day is going to a track by the band American Football with their track “I’ll See You When We’re Both Not So Emotional”. For the record, I love football and the Super Bowl and think that the Broncos are going to grab this one semi-comfortably, 27-23 with a late score by Seattle making it look closer than it was. But what do I know about Super Bowls, I’m a Jets fan.

If you’re so prone to accidents and misunderstandings
You may accidentally misinterpret honesty for selfishness
We’re two human beings, individually
With inherent interest in each other and how we relate

If you’re still prone to accidents and misunderstandings
You won’t understand me or my motivation for being alone
We’re just two human beings, individually
With inherent interest in each other and how we relate

Considering everything, me leaving with regrets only makes sense
I’ll see you when we’re both not so emotional
