I feel like an idiot for not listening to this full album over a year ago when I first heard about it, especially since I love The Elephant EP. This full length album, The Wild Orchid Children Are Alexander Supertramp is practically perfect and features remastered versions of songs from their EP.
It’s a loud, in-your-face mixture of post-blues, psychedelic, and jam out rock. It feels abrasive, moving, dynamic, and texturized. Every song is equally as good as the last and I love it!
Sorry, no M83 here. If I wanted to review pretentious musicians who tried too hard I would have just asked Jason Kushner for some of his CD’s. As a DJ who finds himself most at home at weekend basement raves and bro bars, I have a bit of a bias in my list. However, this fact does not deter from my musical tastes as most would believe.
